Ontario, British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island Holds PNP Nominations

Ontario, British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island recently held their provincial nominations for the PNP candidates. While PNP nominations provide the provinces the extra privilege to choose their newcomers according to the labor needs in their area, the PNP nominations also strengthen the candidates’ application. Someone from the Express Entry pool gets to have an additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points of 600. With this additional score, the candidate will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residency during the next draw.

The international student category under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) was called in the two draws of March 14. In the first draw, a total number of 606 candidates were invited who belong to the healthcare and tech occupations and have a minimum score range of 70. The second draw saw invitations for 300 candidates in skilled trades occupations who have a minimum score range of 74.

British Columbia PNP also invited 230 candidates during the draw held on March 14, which targeted the tech industry. The candidates mainly belonged to the International Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams with a minimum SIRS score of 83. At the same time, Prince Edward Island invited 144 candidates, most of which belonged to the Labour and Express Entry stream, suggesting their particular labor requirements.
