Cutoffs for the all-clear from Canada’s Comprehensive Ranking System currently stand at 496, which is a record low since July. Canada’s booming job markets attract students from across the globe, and it looks like the number of candidates to receive the Invitation to Apply (ITA) documents in this Express Entry draw will stand at a significant number because of the considerable fall of the cutoff figure.
Express Entry into Canada is an online application system that selects eligible individuals with specialized skill sets to relocate to Canada with permanent residency and contribute to the Canadian economy. The system works on an assessment of the individual which issues them with a score that reflects their eligibility.
Since the Express Entry draws resumed in July earlier this year, the cutoffs have been clearly exhibiting a steadily decreasing trend. Consequently, the number of ITAs that have been going out lately has been on the rise, which extends relocation opportunities to a greater population now.
This is being viewed as a positive indicator, according to Canadian immigration attorney Pavan Dhillon. The immigration law expert considers this a sure sign that Express Entry draws are en route to normalcy again, especially since they have been stuck in the doldrums for a while now.
