More than ever, today is the time when Indians have the access to some of the much-wanted information that is required for traveling abroad. With the internet bringing the world closer, aspirations are skyrocketing. Importantly, things are turning a bit easier for all as now it is possible to travel visa-free on an Indian passport to not one or two but multiple countries worldwide.
While in some countries the visa may be made mandatory on arrival, broadly speaking it is possible to step into these countries without a visa or at least less stringent rules.
Rules You Need to Know to Travel Visa-free on Indian Passport
There are nine rules that you must know if you are looking to travel visa-free as an Indian.
- Dependents below 18 years of age are allowed to travel visa-free every year between 15 July to 15 September.
- Uzbekistan and Myanmar now have an e-visa facility that is open for every Indian.
- A Transit visa is not required if you are in an international zone transiting through any of the airports in France.
- An Indian who holds an entry visa to Canada, Australia, UK, Japan, US, or a Schengen visa can get a travel visa once he arrives in Oman.
- An employment proof/explanation letter is not mandatory for Indian passport holders making a short-term visit to Japan.

- The fee for Isrealean visas for Indians has been cut down from INR 1,700 to 1,100.
- A free transit visa of 72 hours is allowed to Indians by Kazakhstan if traveling with a Kazakh airline.
So these are some of the facilities that you get while traveling internationally on an Indian passport. Thus, actually, there are fewer countries than the 58 nations often referred to offering you the privilege to travel visa-free on an Indian passport.
