Since October 1, 2019, travelers from across 60 Nations including UAE need to apply for electronic authorization before reaching the South Pacific country.
The tourists affected by the new immigration rules should apply for the New Zealand electronic travel authority before setting out for the journey.
The new rule is designed to impact travelers from across various nations including the UK, USA, Canada, the United States, and several European countries.
The New Zealand electronic travel authority costs at Dh20. It is mandatory for every passport holder from the aforementioned countries or those listed on the visa waiver program. It also includes those who migrate to a different destination.
Visitors should apply for the New Zealand electronic travel authority a minimum of 72 hours before boarding the flight to ensure that they are provided with legal entry to the country. Once you obtain this New Zealand electronic travel authority, it will remain valid for the upcoming two years. It is applicable to use for multiple visits.
The process of obtaining the New Zealand electronic travel authority costs Dh20 or NZ$9 can be applied from an iOS app or Android app. However, it will cost NZ$12 if applied online. At the same time, applicants will also need to pay NZ$35 for international conservation and tourism.
The new immigration rules are not applicable to citizens from Australia or New Zealand or someone who already possesses a valid visa.

As per WAM, the New Zealand embassy in UAE stated that the Emirati travelers who are travelling through the Auckland International Airport on their journey to another destination will have to apply for the transit New Zealand electronic travel authority as well.
