Express Entry
In order to qualify for the Express Entry below Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), a nurse would need a minimum score of
67 out of 100 points that depend on based on elements such as their age, work experience, education, and language proficiency.
If this minimum pass mark is met, the profile can be sent to the Express Entry pool. Once this is done, they get a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score which is out of 1,200. On a regular basis, the candidates with the highest-ranking are provided Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the permanent residence. The advantage in this system is no fees are to be submitted.
The minimum score for IELTS for nurses has to be a minimum of 6.0 in every language ability.

Quebec Immigration
Nurses can be eligible even for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW) in case they score a minimum of 50 points on the selection grid of Quebec. For those who reside in Quebec, applications for QSW are accepted all through the year. However, for international applicants, there are specific periods during which applications are accepted and the quota is limited. Recently, there were a few changes done to the selection grid where the points that nurses could claim for education were reduced. There is no minimum score required for IELTS. In addition to this, there is no requirement for settlement funds and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for the degree.

Provincial Nominee Programs
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is an immigration program that is a partnership between the federal and provincial governments. There are a few PNPs that are available to candidates in the Federal Express Entry pool. On getting a nomination from any of the PNPs gives you an extra 600 CRS points. Many PNPs need a connection to the province that operates it, for example, a family living in the province, or work experience or studies completed in the province. Other PNPs have been designed to focus on skills gaps by taking in skilled workers who have experience in those occupations which are in-demand in the specific province.
