Paul Ngoue-Ngameleu, 42, and henadez Makia Mbeh, 50, residents of Quebec , who were trying to smuggle immigrants from Detroit into Canada via ambassador bridge on sept.21, couldn’t succeed and were caught.
How many were smuggled through Ambassador Bridge?
As per Canadian authorities, there were 11 people in the truck’s sleeper, hiding behind a curtain. This was revealed in secondary screening by Canada border services agency. Out of 11 smuggled immigrants, those who could not be identified, as per age and nationality, were returned to the United States. Both the truckers were charged with 11 counts of counselling, 11 counts of misrepresentation and withholding material facts and one count of impeding an officer. Bail was granted to them and now they are scheduled to appear on October 23, in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.
