Now Canada Makes it Easier for Immigrants to be Citizens – New Changes in Express Entry Program
Canada is becoming a hotspot for immigrants to pursue the opportunity for a better life. This has become possible because of the implementation of immigration management programs like, Express Entry program, which Canada has applied for a steady inflow of immigrants into their country. This is a good sign as this ensures the liberal prospective that Canada has opted to show the world their doors are always open to anyone who aims to contribute to the economic growth of the country.
New Rules implemented in June 2017 facilitate faster immigration of immigrants to Canada via Express Entry or Global Talent Scheme
The new rules implemented on 6 June 2017, have guaranteed new advantages for immigrants applying for citizenship. The immigration department has issued a statement saying that the new rules will help support the integration and credibility of skilled workers, who will contribute towards the growth, vitality and prosperity of Canada.

Record draw of Invitation to Apply
The department has cited studies that show that immigrants with siblings, who already are Canadian citizens, integrate quickly within the new environment. The recent changes have resulted in a sharp increase in Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the latest Express Entry draw. With the new rules, the target of the Express Entry has been widened, shrinking the number of immigrants waiting in backlog thus making it possible for Canada to draw a large number of immigrants in the recent months than anytime in recent history.
The chart below shows the number of ITAs issued in the past months.
Note: Draws of May 26 had invited the provincial nominees who had a minimum CRS score of 775, and the candidates who were in the Federal Skilled Trades Class with a minimum score of 199.
