Registration with Job Bank Is Made Optional for the Express Entry Applicants by IRCC

Prior to June 6 this year, if an Express Entry candidate did not get himself registered with the job Bank in a time span of thirty days, his account was ceased. And people without their profiles on the Job Banks and provincial nomination or employment offers were not allowed to get involved in the selection from the IRCC’s Express Entry pool. However, things changed after June 6, 2017.
This change would make it easier for candidates to immigrate to Canada under Express Entry without Job Offer
A Senior Policy Analyst present at the Canadian Immigration Summit organized in Ottawa said that earlier the candidates who did not register with the Job Bank within 30 days time and do not have employment offer or Provincial nomination, were not accepted in the IRCC’s pool during the draw. He said that as per data, since not many suitable candidates were available for many of the employers connected with the Job Bank, this rule was modified. Hence, they made it an optional step rather than an essential condition.
This Job Bank is a step of Government that focuses on providing a platform to the employers as well as qualified job applicants with some experience and skill-set, so that they can connect and fulfill each other’s requirement. As per IRCC, the Express Entry candidates might also get benefitted from the opportunities provided by this facility.
Creating an Express Entry profile in the Job Bank has become much simpler with no time limit for the registration, although earlier the employers and job seekers used to undergo different recruitment methods including online job search tools along with other conventional networking exercises.
While the percentage of candidates summoned with an employment proposal varies in every draw, sometimes rising, whereas other times it is decreasing, in the long race, the IRCC want to build a system, which has a massive pool of suitable candidates with no job offer in hand.
When this Express Entry came into existence, the employer was given first preference, while its central focus was its framework and execution. But now, things have changed and the human capital potential is also being taken into account for the growth of the economy.
In addition, this modification was also made keeping in mind the foreign workers staying in Canada on work permit provided by their current employer.
These are not just the goal set by the IRCC; its implementation has already started. It is the time when job seekers across the globe can be benefitted from this opportunity provided by the Liberal Government as they can create a profile with the Express Entry Pool and get selected by the Canadian Employers. This is a further step towards the seeking the permanent resident visa or status.
