It needs to be worth mentioned that the UK has introduced a new UK Tier 4 visa pilot program from 25th July, 2016. This is effective for a period of two years. It enables non-EU students on Masters degree courses(or 13 months or lesser) from four top UK universities to stay in the UK for six months. This is after completion of their study in the UK.
Foreign students(from Non-EU nations) applying for UK Tier 4 visas studying at any of the four universities can stay for six months or even more for finding jobs via the UK Tier 2 visa scheme.
Which are the top four UK universities?—Well, the top four UK universities from which foreign students can stay in the UK for six months or more for finding jobs here are –
- University of Cambridge;
- University of Oxford;
- University of Bath; and
- Imperial College of London.
So, foreign students from non-EU nations studying at any of the above four named UK universities can stay in the UK for more than six months after study completion. The purpose must be to find job in the UK in this case. The above named top four UK universities were selected by the UK Home Office as these have a low level of UK visa refusals. This was clarified by a government memo.
Eligibility checks by participating UK universities—Well, the participating UK universities shall be responsible for eligibility checks of non-EU nationals. Foreign students wanting to enroll in these top UK universities shall need lesser number of supporting documents for UK Tier 4 student visa application. After all, the program is meant to ease the UK Tier 4 visa application process.
