Aim of students not to study in New Zealand—Immigration New Zealand clarified the reason behind the refusal of New Zealand student visas to thousands of Indians. Nearly 30 percent of applicants were refused New Zealand student visas.
Immigration New Zealand stated that most of applicants were not believed to be having sufficient money to support their study and stay in New Zealand. So, it appeared that their motive was not to study in New Zealand.
Rejected applicants not fraudulent--Meanwhile, it said that the rejected applications were not fraudulent by any means. Rather, they were not up to New Zealand immigration specifications. New Zealand has tightened its noose on all unscrupulous individuals and agencies trying to bring in foreign students to New Zealand.
This is especially true for those in India wanting to bring in Indians to New Zealand. Higher refusal figures by Immigration New Zealand indicate issues with New Zealand’s tertiary institutes. This was warned by New Zealand immigration officials to New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
It said that already, audits of providers having higher decline rates have been increased by the authorities. Moreover, information obtained is being assessed from 10 establishments till date.
