United Kingdom, 26th May: UK Employer visa cap is pressurizing International MBAs.
Yes, that’s true. UK Employer visa cap is proving a bane for top schools of the UK as well as the International MBAs.

International MBAs from non-EU nations are being affected by the recent UK Employer Visa cap.

MBA candidates from non-EU nations are facing new problems for getting the right to get employment in the UK. This is due to UK Employment visa curbs imposed recently.
UK Business schools also affected—So, it is being witnessed that not only International MBA candidates but also UK business schools are also getting affected by the latest UK employment visa norms.
As per the rules, foreign students from outside the EEA are required to find any employer offering them sponsorship for working in the UK. UK business schools are saying that firms seem to be more open to hire EU students rather than non-EU students.
Employers in the UK hiring high-skilled non-EU workers are facing more curbs due to UK visa quota imposed by the UK government.
New UK employment visa curbs—The annual cap for UK Employment Visas was 20,700. However, there will be a reduction of 75 visas each month for the rest of 2015(from April 2015 onwards). This will be due to the fact that the UK Home Office had increased the monthly quota of UK employment visas by 825 to help preventing the annual cap from being reached.
The new UK Employment Visa curbs will mean denial of visas for non-EU skilled immigrants, feels the Oxford Migration Observatory.
The rules require non-EU skilled immigrants to earn more than £20,800 as salary. It needs to be notable that there is an exemption available from the annual UK Employment Visa cap for students with a current UK visa. However, foreign students returning home and coming back to the UK will be getting affected by the new rules.
And International MBAs are stressed since they want to secure offers of job before the completion of their study courses. That’s because just one-third of all foreign graduates(graduating in 2011) were found to be working in the UK three years later. It needs to be worth mentioned that only 25 percent of UK graduates of master in management and finance programs manage to get jobs in the UK.
