New Canada immigration norms for dependent children—Dependent children wanting to immigrate to Canada will be subject to new rules soon. This was revealed by Canada government in a latest announcement.
Canada will have new rules for dependent children wanting to come to Canada.
New rules will become effective from 1st August, 2014. So, from this date, Canada will have new definition for ‘dependent child’.
What are new Canada immigration rules for Dependent children?—As per the new definition for dependent children, individuals who are 19 years or younger will be deemed to be dependent children for Canada immigration purposes.
As of now, the age cutoff for aspirants wanting to come to Canada as dependent children happens to be 21 years. So, the government brought down the maximum age limit for dependent children from 21 to 19 years under new Canada immigration rules.
It needs to be further noted that a dependent child includes any adopted child(apart from any biological child/children) of the concerned applicant.
Conditions/eligibilty for any dependent child/children—Anyone wanting to be considered as a dependent child under Canada immigration laws need to fulfill following conditions—
• He or she needs to be below 19 years of age;
• And he or she should not be married or in common-law relationship.
It needs to be further notable in this regard that children above 19 participating in any full-time studies will not be deemed to be dependent children.
Morover, those who are of 19 years age or above and not able to provide support to themselves due to any physical or any mental condition are, undoubtedly, going to be included in the category of dependent children. So, they will be considered as dependent children.
As per the processing fee is concerned, for all dependent children, the fee happens to be $150 now.
It may be notable in this regard that children who are dependent for financial support on their parents for studies purpose will not be included in the category of dependent children if they are above 19 years.
So, the young adult will be required to make an application for Canada permananent residency individually. For those who have applied before 1st August will not be bound by new Canada immigration rules for dependent children. So, its high time to apply at the earlies to grab advantage of rules.
