The immigration program requires applicants, among other factors, to possess a minimum of 24 months work experience in the period of last 5 years for getting a job in Canada.
Federal Skilled Worker Class-FSWC (Federal Skilled Worker Class) requires applicants to get their foreign credentials pre-assessed before their arrival in Canada. This requirement, among several others, is to make sure only those are allowed entry through this immigration stream who will be able to find jobs in their chosen field of expertise in Canada at the earliest.
Canada funding for newcomer settlement services—Canada government works to help in successful settlement of newcomers in Canada by making investments from time to time. Recently, Canadian government announced a funding of $1 million for immigrant settlement in Yukon.
Giving details about the funds, Member of Parliament for Yukon, Ryan Leef, said the federal government remains committed to assuring integration of newcomers to make them reach their optimum potential and benefit the Canadian economy.
Similarly, an investment to the tune of $50,000 by Ontario is aimed to offer newcomers a warm welcome and help them settle permanently in Canada.
