I am sure this happens only in Indian Police Stations. It is such a bizarre and hilarious news that you’ll burst into peals of laughter on reading the first paragraph only. Go ahead and laugh your heart out.
You might be thinking that this news is coming from a fiction book, but this is authentic and such authenticities might occur only in India.
Do you think that Indian police doesn’t lounge FIRs? If you think so, you are totally erroneous. Consider this, as per the statistics unconfined in the report of the CAG.
In Tamil Nadu (Chennai) during a CAG check on the police department, it found sumptuous FIRs such as a missing Boeing 737 which was worth only Rs. 1600. A man had complained that his Boeing aircraft had disappeared.
This is not it; many more such FIRs were launched. One of them was about a missing bicycle worth Rs. 9100 and a missing moped worth Rs. 90 lakh.
And they were not done yet, another FIR that was launched in this department was about a poor cowherd who complaint that he had lost 15000 buffaloes in one day. Then there was a man who reported that he had misplaced his motorcycle which was for 11.10 lakh.
The department had to cut a sorry figure and to lessen the humiliation said that they were checking on the FIRs launched.
These sort of news are directly from the Auditor General and Comptroller of India for the year 2005 -2006, which came up with such bizarre and hilarious FIRs. The CAG noted that there were more than 67672 sin records noted in this department.
It is way more than surprising how the police department of Madurai in Kallikudi village believed all this.
