Thiruvananthapuram — Kerala’s Devasom Minister K. Sudhakaran Wednesday demanded a probe against a senior bureaucrat, a former secretary in his department, after the official criticised him in public.
“Bhushan was the Devasom secretary till recently. He is supported by the mafia and I have now written to the chief secretary to initiate a probe by the Vigilance Department against his activities,” Sudhakaran told reporters here.
Sudhakaran’s move came after an interview in a leading Malayalam daily Wednesday in which Bhushan had attacked him.
Reacting to the minister’s demand, Bhushan said he was not afraid of any probe and would welcome it.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said he was not aware of the tiff between the minister and the official.
“I am not aware of any such thing,” said Achuthanandan.
