Instablog launches ‘citizen journalism’ version
Shimla — Instablogs Networks, a leading blogging company, Wednesday launched a new version that encourages better communication between writers and readers and symbolises the crux of ‘citizen journalism’.
Called ‘Instablog Community’, the version “brings bloggers and readers closer”.
“The whole idea is to bridge the gap between the media and the public, keeping the traditional goal of objectivity intact at the same time,” said Ankit Maheshwari, chief executive of Instablogs networks here.
“Its user-friendly interface allows new writers to submit articles just like an e-mail and also offers social tools to facilitate easy interaction among members to help build a steady readership.”
All blogs submitted by members would be kept unfiltered and un-edited, he said.
The Delhi based Instablogs Network (http://www.instablogs.com) was launched a year ago in Shimla and includes over 100 blogs that are updated on a regular basis.
