There is a rise in demand for item girls. As a result, even top stars are ready to undertake this job though this was considered a taboo until sometime ago in Bollywood.
The new faces entering Bollywood are keen on joining as item girls; they feel that this is best way to succeed and earn glory in a short span rather than waiting for a long time and still unsure of a bright star career.
There is indeed a distinction between item girls. On one hand, we come across Rakhi Sawant and Meghna Naidu who wear few clothes and create chaos on the stage, others like Aishwarya Rai do it the ‘Kajra Re Kajra Re…’ way and throb millions of hearts. Nothing is taboo provided it’s done properly and in the right way.
Nisha Yadav is the new kid on the block. Born and brought up in Mumbai, she turned an item girl even before completing her education. She would soon give an item number in ‘Dastan-e- Tarunnum’ besides doing an art film titled ‘Agar Aap Hote Toh Kya Karte’ and also a Marathi movie.
Nisha told that she always wanted to be an item girl and has no problems showing skin. She also said that she is ready to do any kind of role, be it a bold role or a sati- savitari role.
Another person though slightly old in the job is Sambhavna Seth. She is a girl from Delhi who arrived in Mumbai for a career in movies and began as a second lead heroine in ‘Paagalpaan’.
Since then she didn’t look back and acted in ‘Vadh’, ‘Zameer’ and ‘Sauda’. Then followed her performance in Subhash Ghai’s ’36 China Town’ directed by Abbas Mustan. She is the same girl who danced with Meghna Naidu in the tourism show at Junagarh. Since she had worn skimpy clothes as had Meghna Naidu, their dance show created a hungama all over the city. Shambhavna became a hot girl overnight, courtesy TV channels. Being a government program, it created chaos among government circles though.
And then there is our Rakhi Sawant, who is well known for her skimpy clothes, lewd gestures and her bold statements on television. She currently made news by blaming Mika for kissing her delibrately. This babe sure knows how to get public attention. She has done many music videos and also a few films like ‘Main Hoon Na’, where she was seen wearing micro – minnies.
The new music video sensation Nandinii Jumani aka Krazy Kat of the latest remix hit “Yamma Yamma”, has come out with a startling attack on her competitor Rakhi Sawant calling her acts a sham. Nandinii held that Sawant is fake from heat to toe. She has got plastic surgery done and even her name is fake. Well, her real name is Ruhi Sawant, if you people did not know about it.
