Karan Johar’s next extravaganza Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is geared up with Amitabh Bachchan evaluating Johar’s production company as “easily the best” in the country today.
Bachchan very elatedly told his views about Karan Johar, “Karan’s is a very organized production unit. This is my second film with Karan. Most of my work is over. It’s a different mature subject. It was nice to have Abhishek with me again…We play father and son once more after Sarkar.”
AB described Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna as a story of marital relationships. “I play adviser and comrade to Abhishek…Abhishek and I have been seen earlier in Bunty Aur Babli and Sarkar.
Karan takes us into an entirely different territory. I think Karan is trying something entirely different here. It was a very relaxed young unit.”
Apart from Amitabh and Abhishek, the film also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta.
Bachchan is unstoppable. It was inundating in both his houses, Prateeksha and Jalsa; his mother was in the hospital and he had a spell of viral fever.
Earlier too, Karan had to cancel the shoot due to Amitabh’s illness. But this time Bachchan made it sure that Karan wouldn’t suffer because of him. Everyone on the set was present from choreographer Farah Khan to director Johar and were pleasantly surprised to see Bachchan Sr. dance to the tunes.
Yes, the scene was a song where Amitabh and Abhishek Bahchcan dance with Kajol making a brief appearance. When queried about this, big B casually gesticulated saying that work should not undergo.
About his look in the film AB said, “Since this is a very young film Karan and Manish Malhotra wanted to work out a very trendy look. I think their styling is terrific.
Current trends have been duly incorporated ….My character is very unperturbed and easygoing with life. I liked playing that.”
Amitabh says Dharma Productions is one of the best film-producing units in Bollywood.
Bachchan told that, “This is my second film with Karan. Most of my work is over. …It’s a different mature subject.”
Big B showed his sympathy towards Karan and called him the most dedicated and best producer. He further added in his speech that, “Everything was in place. Karan never gets on the floors until he’s absolutely sure. Now that his father is no more I think Karan wanted to make doubly sure nothing was out of place.
His mother was in NY with us throughout. We were very well looked after. He does his homework very well. Karan’s is easily the best production company in the country today.”
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is one of the most awaited movies of 2006.
So with Shahrukh Khan , Amitabh Bachchan , Abhishek Bachchan , Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee in the movie, we all fans are anxiously waiting for this Karan Johar movie !!
