Online Immigration tool launched a year back is enjoying a huge success

Last year, sometime around this period “Online Immigration tool” was launched. The tool was helpful for the immigrant applicants to understand if they qualify for immigrating to Canada.

There are a series of questions, depending upon the response the applicant is suggested the specific category of job that may suit his profile. It also suggests the eligibility to live or work or study in the nation. The pass mark for the test is 67 which may change.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney had said, “This is one way my department is creating a responsive, transparent and efficient immigration system that benefits applicants, immigrants and Canadians alike.”
The tool has experienced more than 1.6 million visitors. Almost 100,000 visitors use the tool every month.

Immigration Minister says, “We want the world’s best and brightest to come to Canada and to help grow our economy.”

He has appreciated the success of the tool and says.

Users find this tool to be quite easy and simple to use which gives response faster than one can think of.

CIC will very soon launch a data bank where the answers of at least 500 users will be recorded.

There are some who believe that Canada still would need labors with low skills and a lot of motivation. Some people also believe that the need of unskilled labors that are hardworking is more than that of skilled professionals.

They might have this opinion because of the fact that most of the provinces face a tough time in organizing labors for their industry.

This thought is contrary to the development the department is trying to make in the immigration process.
Checking out the eligibility by an applicant which used to take quiet along time before is the first step towards immigration. Hence the department has done quite a good development by making this process simpler and faster.

There were cases which used to get rejected after making an application probably due to wrong selection of category.

Now with this tool the chances of getting cancelled due to wrong selection have been narrowed down.
