Immigrants Need Health Insurance for First Few Months Till They Get Health Care Coverage

According to the prevailing immigrant’s health insurance policy and scheme all the Immigrants require health insurance for the initial few months till they date health care coverage. Health is a vital field where every individual should give proper care and have insurance in their name.

It is to be noted that in Canada, the Waiting period for health insurance and health care coverage varies from province to province. Moreover, health insurance would be much cheaper versus costs they would have to pay otherwise. Every individual should take step regarding health related matter in the right manner.
For the new Immigrant:
In case, if you are a new Immigrant and would prefer to generally apply for Health insurance coverage then you should present your passport and all other required original Immigration Canada documents that have been rightly issued to you and your dependants. Moreover you should be eligible for coverage under the country’s Health service insurance act. It is to be noted that even the Returning Canadians eligible for coverage under the country’s Health service insurance act. They should provide the residence status documents, Canadian citizenship paper and arrival date proof to the concern authorities.
For Work permit holder:
In Canada, if your given Work Permit is only valid for at least 12 months then you and any other family members that are listed on the Work Permit, are directly eligible for insurance coverage as of the date it was issued. On the other hand if your given Work Permit is nearly less than 12 months then you are not eligible under the country’s Health service insurance act until you receive personally an extension that really allow you to stay in Canada for at least 12 months. It is to be noted that you will then only be directly covered as of the date of extension.
For the Visitor/Student Record Those who is Visitor/Student, they are also provided health insurance under the prevailing immigrant’s health insurance policy and scheme. Moreover they are not eligible for direct coverage unless they are accompanying parent or a spouse who has a Work Permit that is valid for 12 months period or more. On the other hand the Visitor/Student Record should be valid for at least 183 days. Moreover it is to be noted that dependants who reach the age of 18 should have a Work Permit or be attending a recognized educational institution to be eligible for further benefits.
