New Immigrants will experience a lot of job openings in Canada

The Global crisis has halted the job openings and job growth across the leading nations of the world. Most of the developed countries have shown a poor record in this area discouraging the immigrants coming to them.
Canada is one nation which has shown good number of job openings even in this phase of sluggish economic growth. There is a good piece of news for the immigrants coming to this nation. Employment market has a lot many jobs available for those who want to pick one of them.
Last year more than 200,000 new jobs were created in the sector of manufacturing and construction industry.
A report shows that this year about 100,000 jobs have been created in the months of March and April and the year is still left with so many years.
There is considerable number of vacancies in the sectors of trades, information technology, health care and retails stores.
Employment counsellors have been expressing their views about job openings.
Mary Tecson, Employment Counselor of the Immigration Services Society of British Columbia says, “Construction Industry is booming in British Columbia while the oil industry is doing well in Alberta.”
Tecson added, “Yung mga Philipino gusto white collar jobs and gusto nasa office lagi, Lahatdoon nagpupuntahan Maganda kasi yung i-explore nila yung other sectors.”
According to Tescon the big question and chllaenge for the new immigrants lies in applying their knowledge to the Labor market.
He says so as the skill which the new immigrants have learnt in their home countries hold little significance to what they are supposed to do here in Canada.
To bridge the gap between their previous knowledge and the skill required here, Skills Connect for Immigrants plays a major role. The organisation has the social responsibility of training up new immigrants as per the requirement of the market. They look into the previous learning of an immigrant and either they train them afresh or brush upon their skills to suit the requirement of the labor market.
Tecson with experience informs that almost 80% of the new immigrants benefit out of this program as it makes them comfortable with the working conditions and nature of job to be delivered.
New Immigrants can surely enjoy the fact that they can afford to get a job in Canada after landing up.
