Criminal immigrants will be deported back from Canada

Canada is known for its multiculturalism and open attitude towards immigrants. The nation is preferred by students, investors and all sects of people.
Canada has encountered many cases where an immigrant is accused of a crime but he has managed to stay in the country for years without any action being taken upon him.
A Toronto based Immigration lawyer, Karas refers this situation as “one of the tragedies of Canada.”
The Federal Government had decided to cancel the citizenship of immigrant criminals and deport them back to their native countries stating their stay as illegitimate.
According to a new poll in Canada, people want illegal immigrants to leave the country even if they have a family connection here.
They support their thought by saying that these illegal immigrants do not pay their taxes and misbehave. They also get indulged into some crime or the other creating a fear amongst people.
People feel that Canada is a civil society and people should abide by the rules. The rule breakers should have no scope of living in this country.
Prof. Peter Showler, university of Ottawa says, “Canada has about 35,000 to 120,00o illegal immigrants which are very low in compared to 13 million in USA.” He says when actions are taken against these illegal immigrants then people become very sensitive.
Mr. Karas said, Foreigners committing crimes can keep fighting for years, escaping prosecution and deportation. He feels that the world is not getting a good message.
A Federal report reveals deportation of 41 immigrants in 2006, who were involved in war crimes or crimes against society. At the same time a considerable number of immigrants could not be deported due to lack of documents.
Canada now looks firm on deporting the immigrants who are caught in any kid of crime.
The present law gives them a chance for trial due to which they stay back and make things even worse.
The immigrants are to behave themselves and gradually adapt the Canadian culture rather than imposing their own.
Canadian culture is quite amicable and has an open perspective. Immigrants getting many facilities should think of contributing to the nation’s strength rather than committing crimes and destabilising the social structure. When encountered doing so they will be deported back to their native countries even without a trial.
