Australia no more a dream destination for Indian students

Currently a major decline is visible in the Australian education sector, as it has seen that they experienced about 8.7 per cent shoot down in international applications from the students all over the world. The decline is surprising as figures were quiet during the last year.

As per the current the statistics it has come into notice that there is a tremendous decrease especially in the number of India students who have applied for the Australian Universities this year.

The numbers of Indian students have staggeringly gone down by 30 per cent in the first 3 months of this year. A large numbers of students who aspire to study in foreign universities are now moving towards UK universities.

Reasons for the decline in number of students:

The educationist experts in Australia feels that tightening of immigration rules is one of the biggest factors that have curbed the number students applying for the Australian universities. The tough norms have led the aspiring students to look for the universities in different countries.

The racial discrimination acts against Asian people that had taken place in the country previously is one of the major cause that is pulling back Indian students from going to Australia to pursue their studies.

The authorities are no doubt are taking up a responsible attitude towards the safety and security of the foreign students, but still the people are diverting themselves to other countries and not taking any kind of risk by opting for Australia.

Effect of the dropdown:

As before Indian students contributed as the second largest share after Chinese students in the Australian education sector but now it has drop down significantly.

The Indian students have been a major contributor to the education industry of the country. The drop down will definitely have negative on the sector.

A large chunk of students coming from India used opt for the high number of courses in Australian universities and the vocational training centers, now with a fall in number this is going to affect them.

But now the government is moving towards the relaxations of the visa rules for the students and hopes the industry recovers soon.

Now the Australian authorities have also planned to add the TOEFL scores for the English Language assessment for those who are applying for the visa for coming and studying in the country.

Now the relaxation of the study rules and regulations are not able to help to attract the students from India.
