Seashore theme- Calm and soothing

Your child may dream of sea waves and sitting besides the beautiful beach…..don’t let those dreams be dreams only and bring the smoothness’ and calmness of sea in his room.

The seashore theme is quite popular with children who love water, the hues and shades of blues and greens and feel tranquilized while in the midst of such beauty.

It is not that difficult to bring the feeling of sand and sea to a child’s room. As I say always, all you need is imagination—loads of it.

Use watery blues, sandy tans, and foamy white to transform the usual room into the sea theme.

Choose a soothing palette with some creative touches on walls, furniture, and bedding. You can even paint the walls or cupboards of the room with blue strips, with tiny ivory starfish swimming between each blue stripe.

The artistically gifted can write on the wall with paint pens. If that's too intimidating then look for stencils with words, or cut your own stencil out of mylar using a phrase you design with fonts on your computer and enlarge to a proper size.

You can even use shells and small pebbles. Get a nice transparent jar and fill it with blue or green marbles, pebbles or shells.

The curtains and furniture of the room should also be according to the colours of the seashore. Choose from the palette of blue, aqua blue, sea green, dark mossy green or any other colour that goes with the theme.

So let your imagination run wild and fill your childs room with the beauty of the sea.
