Rough and tough- Sports theme

Boys and girls have choices which are poles apart. While girls like pinks, ribbons, dolls and flowers in their rooms, boys prefer to decorate their rooms with themes which speak the word ‘TOUGH’.
The theme quite popular with most boys is the sports theme. Design a fun playing field in the kid’s bedrooms. Bring the outdoor sports indoor with your imagination and artistic skills.
Hang Football Stadium or locker murals. Create a Basketball Court in the bedroom. Decorate with life size stickups of scoreboards and sports players. Paint spectator and sport scenes on the walls, have some fun in the room and embellish your spectators with craft materials- clothes, artificial hair, paints, etc.
Border the windows and mirror with painted flags and balls. Paint the bedding, curtains, lamp shades or rugs with players running and kicking the ball, flags, balls, hockey or golf sticks, racquets, or any other thing associated with sports.
Accentuate the room with sports equipment. Display baseball bats, racquets, gloves, hang caps on the walls. Get the boys to keep things tidy with a basketball hoop as laundry chute.[inline:1]
Ask your carpenter to make sports book shelves. You can get them done in shape of a skate board, etc.
Don’t use dull colours; bright and bold colours like navy, red, blue, purple, leaf green, maroon, etc should be used. Black and white can be used too.
Get the back of the bed made in shape of half a ball. Display your child’s trophies in the room and hang sports t-shirts of players…..There is a lot which you can do with this theme. Either bring all outdoor sports in the room or just your child’s favourite.
