Immigrants sometimes face ‘real difficult immigration challenges’ in the way of settlement.

Canada has become the ultimate choice of many people, who come here to give a new start to their life and contribute for the goodness of Canada. Added to enthusiasm of heading for a new life in a new country (Canada), the hurdles that are to be confronted by all immigrants are to meet the challenges of settling and adjusting in the new environment.

Marcia had great eagerness of migrating to Canada and she married a Canadian and made her new move from Brazil to Canada along with her four kids from first marriage. Though Marcia had thought of giving a new and better start to her life in Canada, but what came to them was sudden poverty and immense dejection. Her kids faced the miserable time of their life, and they were into intense depression and hated their mother for this situation. Marcia had a much better situation in Brazil in respect of job and living standard. And here in Canada, they could only afford only one bedroom on rent, kitchen and bathroom on sharing basis and to talk about food, they could meet the expense of milk, cereal, macaroni and cheese.

In this tuff battle of life, Marcia got incredible support from the staff from The Salvation Army, who helped her on the issue as how to help her kids to overcome this mental state and adjust to the new environment. The staff advised to have patience and show great support to each other to overcome the problems. Two after the two years of tuff life, Marcia has her own home daycare and her kids are doing well.

Marcia has great regard and appreciation for The Salvation Army to help the new immigrants overcome such related problems, and she says that she will ever be thankful for to it for making her apt to adjust in Canada.
